Toddler

Our 2-year-old program is designed for children who will be between 2 and 3 by September of the school year. The overall classroom goals are:

  •  To provide a secure atmosphere in which each child can adjust to separation from parents.
  • To provide a warm and happy environment in which each child’s physical, emotional and social needs are determined and met.
  • To provide an informal atmosphere in which each child may choose activities from a variety of age-appropriate learning areas, such as dramatic play, puzzles, instruments, etc.
  • To foster language development through stories, songs, fingerplays and through the natural conversation.
  • To help each child develop appropriate social skills such as playing together, making friends, taking turns, and increasing attention span.
  • To enhance each child’s self-image and sense of accomplishment by encouraging independence and the development of appropriate self-help skills such as self-feeding, assisting in taking care of toileting needs, recognizing belongings and assisting in dressing as needed.
  • To foster self-control in each child using positive techniques such as modeling, encouraging expected behaviors, redirecting and setting clear limits.
  • To assist families with toilet training needs, based on the individual child’s willingness and abilities.

2, 3, 5 Full Day Programs – 7:00AM – 5:30PM

Preschool

Pre-Kindergarten

We offer a part and full day Pre-Kindergarten class.This class is designed for children who are 4 by September 1st of the school year. The overall goals of each class are:

  • To provide a secure atmosphere in which each child can adjust to separation from parents.
  • To provide an informal atmosphere in which each child may choose activities from a variety of age-appropriate learning areas, such as dramatic play, puzzles, instruments, etc.
  • To foster language development through stories, songs, fingerplays and through the natural conversation.
  • To help each child develop appropriate social skills such as playing together, making friends, taking turns, and increasing attention span.
  • To enhance each child’s self-image and sense of accomplishment by encouraging independence and the development of appropriate self-help skills such as self-feeding, assisting in taking care of toileting needs, recognizing belongings and assisting in dressing as needed.
  • To plan activities that will help each child begin to develop readiness skills and concepts in a relaxed environment.
  • To foster self-control in each child using positive techniques such as modeling, encouraging expected behaviors, redirecting and setting clear limits.
  • To expose children to literature based curriculum that fosters pre-reading and writing skills.
  • To expand on existing math, science, and social study skills.
  • To plan activities and present information in a context that will build upon each child’s experiences and knowledge and broaden their sense of awareness.

We offer:

2, 3, 5 Part Day Programs – 9:00AM – 12:00PM

2, 3, 5 Full Day Programs –  7:00AM – 5:30PM

All our classrooms provide a balance of individualized, small group, and large group activities. All classes go outside daily, weather permitting. Our classroom teachers provide assessments 3 times a year, with conferences offered at least twice, or as requested.
