Providing Good Beginnings Since 1952
William Penn Center Preschool, a program of Lower Bucks Community Centers, Inc., has been serving the community since its establishment in 1952. As a private, non-profit educational facility, William Penn Center is committed to delivering top-quality programs for children ages 2-5, ensuring a nurturing and enriching learning environment.
William Penn Center Preschool strives to provide programs that are developmentally appropriate. Our objective is to provide each child with a nurturing atmosphere that fosters the growth of independence, social skills, and a healthy sense of self. Our experienced teaching staff embraces the view that that every child is an individual person with an individual pattern and timing of physical, social, and intellectual development.
Preschool William Penn Centre is a Keystone STAR 2 establishment. Pennsylvania’s early learning programs’ ongoing attempts to enhance their quality are supported, acknowledged, and improved by Keystone STARS, a responsive system. Three fundamental ideas form the basis of our system:
- To address each kid’s and family’s unique, comprehensive requirements, a whole child approach to education is crucial.
- Children’s growth and families’ support depend on early care and education providers who are informed and receptive.
- For each child to grow and thrive, it is crucial to establish and maintain long-lasting, healthy connections with families, early care and education providers, and community partners.
Mission Statement
Developmentally appropriate practice is the cornerstone of William Penn Center’s preschool programs. Our goal is to create a supportive environment for every child that encourages the development of self-reliance, social skills, and a positive self-image. The belief that each kid is a unique individual with a unique pattern and timing of social, physical, and intellectual development is embraced by our skilled teaching staff. Teachers show their regard for kids
by empowering for them to consider independently, make choices, solve problems on their own, and communicate their thoughts and emotions. We recognize and foster an active partnership between home and school
